Advanced BioHealing Receives Another $4.5 Million

LA JOLLA, CA -- Biotechnology company Advanced BioHealing Inc. announced that it received a second tranche of $4.5 million in its series C financing round.

The company is focused on developing and commercializing cell-based and tissue-engineered products such as its diabetic foot ulcer treatment and its tissue treatment for full and partial thickness burns.

Investors in the tranche wer previous investors Safeguard Scientifics and CDIB BioScience Ventures.  The company plans to use the funding proceeds to support its continued clinical trials and to expand the market for its foot ulcer products.
